What made you want to get into dance?
I started dancing when I was two years old, my mom says I was dancing in her belly when she played music.
How did you get your first agent and manager?
I do not have a manger, my mom is my manger right now. My dance agency I got when I was in New Jersey.
What was your first ever job?
My first big job was a Spotify commercial, it played during Latin Grammys and it was to my favorite artist JBalvin song MiGente.
What was the casting process like for the Justin Bieber Children Purpose Tour?
For Justin Bieber audition we had to learn the choreography from a video they posted. I uploaded a video to YouTube and instagram and then we had to tag the choreographer and Justin Bieber and use a special hashtag. They would look thru all the people applying and pick 4 kids from each city.
What was the rehearsal schedule like for Justin Bieber Children Purpose Tour?
The choreography we did was the one from the audition video, we freestyled a little before the choreography. We had tech rehearsal and then we did it live for the concert.
Tell us about your experience working on the Spotify commercial you were in?
The Spotify commercial was amazing because it was a new Latino section called liva Latino so I was the first commercial they ever made for it. I was the only dancer in the commercial so it was a great experience for my first commercial job.
What was your reaction when you saw CardiB reposted your dance you did? (Please send screenshots, if any)
CardiB posted me two times, the first time I was so shocked because she reposted it and it said alysathestar at the bottom of the video so I got a few followers from that video. I am a huge fan of hers so I was excited to see she saw the video of me dancing.
How was it dancing for Meghan Trainor?
Megan Trainor is so sweet and so kind. It was such a great experience to dance for her at the radio Disney music awards. She took the time to take pics with the dancers. She is so pretty and this was special to me because I used to be in my room singing and dancing to her songs and to actually get to dance for her was a dream.
What was the casting process like for the role you played on Mani?
For “Mani” on Brattv, I received an email asking if I would be interested in auditioning and then I submitted an audition video. I was praying every night that I got it because I really wanted to start acting.
How did you find out that you got the role?
I received an email that said I got the part of “Star”. I was so excited because my instagram name is Alysathestar so I said the name is perfect for me.
What’s the day-to-day set experience like on Mani?
Being on “Mani”, was the best experience of my life. I loved going to set, it was different from a dance job. I have a few lines I had to learn and practice. I am so excited to see the show. Everyone in the Brat tv staff is super nice and I loved all my co stars. We had a great time. A day by day is we go to set, we do school work, get hair and makeup done and then shoot the scene.
Did you know any of the Mani cast prior to getting on the show?
I knew one dancer like me before getting on the show so it was so nice that we got to experience it together.
What was your favorite moment from season 5?
My character “Star “ is on a step team so since I am a dancer I think that was probably one of my favorite parts of being on the show because we did a step dance routine.
Tell us about your experience on your first day on set?
My first day on set I was a little nervous because I never been on a set for acting. I didn’t know any of the other children on the job but now we are all friends and they are so nice and I am so happy I made new friends.
What are some of your hobbies?
I love to read, sing, I like going to the mall, movies and just hanging out with my friends and family.
If you could have dinner with one celebrity who would it be and WHY?
I would love to have dinner with JLo and her kids. She is my idol. When I grow up I want to be just like her. She started as a dancer like me. Then she started to act and sing. I would like to follow in her foot steps. She is beautiful, and she i love all her movies and songs. I hope one day to met her. I would love to ask her questions about how she became so great. And I would love to tell her that she inspires me and I hope one day I inspire other little girls like me when I get older.
