How did you get started with acting?

I was always entertaining my family and my Kindergarten Teacher gave us a name of an agent in the business.

What was the first role you ever booked?

The first role I ever booked was a Fresh N Easy commercial.

How did you get cast on Just Roll With It?

I auditioned with a self tape and then after many callbacks, a chemistry read and a Disney Corp. audition I got the role of Blair.

Tell us about your first day on set?

My first day on set for the pilot was a pretty busy day. When we first got to the stage they showed me my dressing room, and of course my mom and I decorated it. Ramon and I went to school with our on set teacher. Then the cast and I had a meeting with the producers. After that everyone got a tour of the set and met everyone on the production team. We had rehearsal for the first time. Lastly Ramon and I did school, then left.

Are you friends outside of the show with any of the cast members?

Yes, I am friends with all of the cast members. During quarantine we have game nights with each other over the phone. We also liked going out to dinner to celebrate a special day. But I am very close with Ramon and Candace, Candace plays Ruth my best friend on the show. Who is actually my best in real life. Ramon and I talk a lot, especially since we are with each other the most on set.

What’s your favorite episode so far?

My favorite episode that has aired so far is The Most Brilliant Blair in the World.

What’s it like to work on a sitcom vs a regular TV show?

On a sitcom the cast and crew have a lot of fun and joke around a bunch. The cast is always, messing around with each other. Also, the executive producers on our show joke around off-camera as much as on camera. The cast and I also get to be very creative with our characters because our show has improvisation. On a regular tv show it is very dramatic and the story is set. I have never been on a regular tv show, only sitcoms, so I don’t know what the experience is like. But this is my opinion of the two types of shows.

How is Just Roll With It filmed?

Just roll with it is a multi-cam show that films in front of a live audience on Friday nights, and films the normal script for back up purposes.

How do you memorize all of your lines for show night?

I usually get my script around 8 pm. So I read through the full script at least three times, and try to memorize scene one by one. Then when I get to set on Thursday morning, I run it with our dialogue coach to make sure I know everything.

Any tips to other young actors or actresses on getting into the business or how to book a sitcom?

I would say come prepared and have fun with your audition. Be open to re-direction from the casting director. Other than that I would say to believe in yourself because that will change your attitude and feelings going into the audition room.
