President Trump announced on his twitter account that hew won’t be throwing up the first pitch at Yankee Stadium next month. He added that he won’t be doing this as needs to focus on the handling the coronavirus. President Trump also called the Coronavirus the “China Virus” in his tweet.
Because of my strong focus on the China Virus, including scheduled meetings on Vaccines, our economy and much else, I won’t be able to be in New York to throw out the opening pitch for the @Yankees on August 15th. We will make it later in the season!

This comes as Coronavirus cases continue to surge in key battleground states for Trump including Florida and Texas. There are now 4.31m cases of Coronavirus in the U.S..
Nearly 150,000 have died from the virus.
