Ellarose Kaylor is kicking off the new year with the release of her new single I Still Believe. The pop song is co-written by Kristen Collins and produced by Andrew Lane. In spite of her young age, this song marks her 5th original.

How did you get started doing music?

When I was 7 years old I was asked to perform two songs when I was cast in the film Next Level.  I was brand new to signing. I worked with an amazing producer Andrew Lane and he helped me with my voice and find the confidence.

What was it like recording your first song?

It was so much fun!!!  I honestly got so lucky working with Andrew Lane as he taught me so much.  We worked together on the song and on my voice.   My voice has changed a lot from when I was 7 and I am excited for my new song now that I just turned 10. I also am working with an amazing voice coach. Just always trying to work on my craft.

What is the meaning behind the song?

I am so excited for people to hear my new song, I hope it will inspire people to believe in themselves and never never give up on their dreams

What got you into singing?

I’ve been singing ever since I was a kid and have always loved it and felt passionate about it. When I was 15, I picked up ukulele and started getting more serious about my music. By 16, I was writing more music and got picked up by my first producer.

What was the first song you ever recorded?

The first song I ever recorded was “My Whole World.” I had written it when I was 16 and my producer at the time, Shannon McArthur, lived the song so much that we eventually flew out to LA to record the song with Rick Seibold when I was 17.

What’s it like working with Andrew Lane as your music manager?

Working with Andrew Lane is one of the best experiences and opportunities I have ever had. It’s such an honor and a privilege to work and learn from a multi-platinum producer! We have a lot of fun and bounce ideas off of each other and make great music together. He is so sweet and caring and I love working with him.

What was it like working with your cousin on your music video?

Getting to work with Symonne on my music video was really fun! She had been in another video of mine before, “Seams,” and I love getting to have her be part of my videos. Symonne and I are very close and it’s always so great working with her because she’s so talented.

Do you have any future songs coming up?

I have many songs that I have yet to release! I don’t have a plan for them yet, but we take things a step at a time and when it feels right to release them, we will. I think everyone will really like all of the songs that I have to release!
